Our Story
Dear Kindred Spirits,
Arthyaa did not begin as a brand.
It began as a longing.
For meaning. For memory. For something I could truly feel.
I grew up watching my mother design clothes, bringing fabric to life through her instinct for color, texture, and form. As a child, I wanted to be just like her. But life asked for something else. It asked for stability.
So I became an engineer.
Structured. Logical. Certain.
For a while, it was enough.
Then, an accident changed everything.
In that stillness, something returned. Not a plan, but a remembering. Of what once moved me. Of what I had quietly left behind.
I found my way back to India. Not just a place, but a feeling. A rhythm. A way of being.
There, I reconnected with what had always been mine.
The vibrance of culture.
The grounding of ritual.
The quiet mastery of artisans whose knowledge lives through their hands.
I began to understand something simple.
Healing does not always come from moving forward.
Sometimes, it comes from returning.
Returning to softness.
Returning to presence.
Returning to beauty that is felt, not performed.
Arthyaa was born from this return.
A space for those in transition.
For those who have learned strength, and are now rediscovering softness.
For those seeking a sense of home within themselves.
We are rooted in heritage, yet not bound by it.
Each piece carries the touch of artisans working within a living lineage.
We design with intention.
Natural fibers like hemp, silk, and handwoven cotton that breathe, move, and support the body in quiet ways.
Arthyaa is a thread carried across hands.
My mother’s. Mine. The artisans’. And now, perhaps yours.
It is something you wear.
But more than that, something you return to.
Come as you are.
Leave a little more whole.
With warmth and reverence,

Anisha,
